Chime Of Change

Yesterday I went to the Chime of Change Concert, which featured Beyonce, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine, Hiam, J-Lo, Timberland, Rita Ora and many more. This Concert was a charity concert raising money and promoting the education, health and justice for every girl and women everywhere.  This concert was definitely a high-light of my year. Not only did it feature those artists and was hosted by many international famous actors but also was doing it all for a good cause. The best part of the concert for me was when Beyonce started singing Crazy in love and then Jay-Z came on stage… i was speechless…it was amazing.ImageImage

Will Smith and Jaden Smith <3

I’m sorry but this family just seems almost as perfect as Beyonce and Jay-Z. They are travelling around the world now, promoting their new movie After Earth. My love for Will Smith grows every interview I watch of him. But this one is amazing, if you have ever seen Fresh Prince of Bel Air, you wont regret pressing play.

Movie Review: Mud

Image

Yesterday I went to see the movie Mud, after hearing a number of good reviews on it. This movie is about a man (played by Matthew Mcconaughey) who killed another man, who was abusing the women (played by Reese Witherspoon) he loved. After killing this man, he was wanted dead and was searched for by the police. To escape death he ran away and lived on a boat on a little island, which was stuck in the trees. One day two 14-year-old boys find the boat and this man and were fascinated by his story and decided to help him. The movie is all about how the relationship between the two boys and the man progresses through out.

Personally I think this movie is amazing, Matthew Mcconaughey and Reese Witherspoon’s acting is super believable and realistic. As well as them the actors who play the young boys were also very good. Not to mention the movie was also shot beautifully, the movie was set in one of the southern states of America, and really shows, how life is really like over there, capturing its beauty and darkness. This movie is melancholy, and puts you in a position where you are left thinking about the movie a day or two after seeing it. For me it left an impact because are you are sucked into the storyline.

During the duration of this movie I was constantly interested and there was never a dull moment. I recommend this movie to anyone above of the age of 12, which is also its rating in the UK.

Have you seen it yet?x

London Finds: Spitalfields Market and Shoreditch

Image

Here is another post of this “London Finds” series. Today is about Springfield’s fields Market and Shoreditch. These two areas are basically neighbors. Firstly Spitalfields Market, is full of cute antiques, house furniture, and clothing, even though it sounds similar to my last post about Portobello Market, they are very different in style. I feel Portobello is more sort of classy area where as Spitalfields is new, upcoming and full of young people. Surrounding the Market is blocks of shops and restaurants. Shops like Mac, Benefit, the Lomography store and restaurants like wagamama and many more. Shoreditch is an area close by, full of artistic shops, and unknown brands. It’s a cultural and musical area which also contains a big Urban Outfitters which is always a bonus :P.

London Finds: Portobello Road- Notting Hill

ImageNotting Hill is one of london’s coolest and most interesting areas. A perfect place to get away from the crowded streets of Oxford street, where everyone in the world goes. Notting Hill is one of the classiest and upcoming areas in London. Where you can find designer boutiques and shops. I personally think Portobello road is the main attraction. Portobello Road is a long road with different stalls and markets everywhere, selling anything from Antiques to clothes to food and everything in between! You can enjoy walking the street with a great variety of live music playing. Locals come to play guitar, cello, drums and singing along as well. Also around that area are many restaurants and cafes of different types of food that will suit anyones taste. Ottolenghi (A cafe) comes to mind, definitely one of my favourites, serving great, tasty, and unique food for any meal of the day.

What do you guys think of Notting Hill? Have you been yet?xx

Weekend Post: The Boys Are Back

the boys are back

This weekend was insane. Not only am I studying for all my exams but one of my best friends came to visit me! So as you can imagine it was pretty busy. Although, I would just like the point out, that on sleepover’s with my friends instead of having the casual movie night, we decided it would be much more fun dressing up as guys. We got so into it we even named each other. So the bottom photo above from left to right is, Adrian  Nathan, Mario and Nick. So yeah these are my friends and this is exactly what we do on sleepovers.
